Watch the Recording of our Live Community Q&A Session Here

George Kelion, Square Enix

So, on Monday, after a slight delay (sorry about that), Bill and I sat down in front of a green screen to answer questions submitted by you, members of the ever vocal and incredibly passionate online community. I have to say that I was a little nervous doing so - both Bill and I had been involved in video stuff before, but never live broadcasts, which you can probably tell by my jittery disposition. Anything can happen live, especially the unexpected, like - for example - your phone going off part-way through the broadcast. Not my most professional moment...

Anyway, you can view the results for yourself below. We haven't edited the video as we want it to reflect the spirit of openness and transparency in which this whole exercise took place.

For a bit of background info, we answered questions submitted via the designated thread on our official forum and also via our Twitter feed on a first come, first serve basis. Queries ranged from character histories and background lore to specific gameplay details and release plans. I noticed that a lot of the questions we received had been answered previously elsewhere, for example in this thread on NeoGAF, so this was a good opportunity for us to comprehenisvly address certain hot topics (...although I'm still very aware that some questions will linger on even after this video's publication).

After coming off air, I hung around our Twitch.tv channel's chat box and answered additional questions from the livestream's audience, as we hadn't really done so during the broadcast. The chat box remained unmoderated throughout in order to prevent accusations of censorship, however we've since received a lot of feedback from you stating that you'd prefer us to bring in mods next time, so we'll be looking into that for future live Q&A sessions.

All of which leads me to close by saying as nervous as I was initially, in the end we had a really good time and we're already looking forwatrd to the next session, whenever that might be. In the meantime, if you'd like to reach me, feel free to drop me a PM on the forum.
